9. Be wary of pop-up windows that appear on your computer screen Few things are more annoying when surfing the internet than pop-up boxes that appear on your screen. Some claim you are a lottery winner, others pretend to be "important security" messages.Don't click on them.Not even on the CANCEL button or the X in the top righthand corner of the box.Because sometimes, no matter where you click on that box, you are asking for trouble.
